Making a delicious sweet potato puree doesn’t have to be difficult. The naturally sweet vegetable is a great staple for your little one and easy to whip up!
To get started, peel sweet potatoes and cut into small cubes. Place potato cubes into a pan with just enough water to slightly cover the chunks. Steam or boil until tender and don’t forget to check on the water level. Reserve any left over water to use for thinning out the sweet potato puree if desired.
Place cooked sweet potatoes into your choice of appliance for pureeing and begin pureeing. Add the reserved water or other liquid as necessary to achieve a smooth, thin consistency. Adding pears, apricots, apple or winter squash is a great way to introduce other foods as well.
Let cool and then fill GoFreshBaby food pouches and refrigerate or freeze for up to 8 weeks.
